August 2023
Here is what’s new in Version 2.2.7.
It’s August and our latest release is packed with new features and international 5G network launches to coincide with what experts predict will be the busiest month for travel in 2023.
Expanded Coverage and New 5G Routes
We’ve significantly enhanced our USA coverage to now include Verizon, which in addition to T-Mobile and AT&T gives eSIM Go partners unparalleled data access throughout the United States. This now includes 5G on both AT&T and T-Mobile, with Verizon to follow in the next few months.
Other notable 5G launches include networks in Mexico, Thailand, Singapore, Macao, Cyprus, Montenegro and Cape Verde. In total there are 27 new 5G network launches for the last quarter, underlying our commitment to providing the very best customer experience.
Brand new bundles and coverage in North Cyprus goes live on 11 August 2023 too, with full details available in the recent rate sheet update.
UTF-8 Character Support in the eSIM Go Management Portal 🫶
Following the recent addition of UTF-8 SMS support (that allows additional character sets and emojis) via the API we have added full support on the portal too (under ‘View eSIM’). Send emojis 👋🏻 to all of your colleagues’ test eSIMs if you wish (of course, that was the very first thing our Dev Team did), but more importantly your operations and support teams can communicate directly with customers in different languages from the eSIM Go Management Portal.
Auto-assign new bundle orders straight to an existing eSIM ICCID 🔄
We’ve improved the existing API call to process new bundle orders. You’re now able to automatically assign the bundle straight to an existing eSIM, skipping the additional step of first purchasing a bundle then assigning from inventory.
Time Zone Settings – eSIM Go Management Portal 🕟
New for this release is the option to toggle between UTC or the user’s (not the eSIM) local time. We’ve added this to help your support and ops teams validate and communicate bundle start and end dates with your customers.
Submit support tickets from the eSIM Go Management Portal 📩
Based on your feedback, we have added a new menu option to raise support tickets directly from the eSIM Go Management Portal to save your support and ops teams time when dealing with customer issues.
Single Sign-On 🆔
SSO is now supported across the eSIM Go Management portal and Support Portal.
