How do Unlimited bundles work?
We have five types of unlimited bundles available:
- Unlimited Day Plans*
- Unlimited Lite (esim_UL...): These bundles will provide 1GB of unthrottled data every 24 hours, once this is depleted data will be throttled to 512kbps.
- Unlimited Essential (esim_ULE...): These bundles will provide 1GB of unthrottled data every 24 hours, once this is depleted data will be throttled to 1.25mbps.
- Unlimited Plus (esim_ULP...): These bundles will provide 2GB of unthrottled data every 24 hours, once this is depleted data will be throttled to 2mbps.
- Premium Unlimited (esim_PUL...): These bundles will provide 30GB, 60GB or 90GB of unthrottled data to use across the bundle duration, once this is depleted data will be throttled to 2mbps for the remaining bundle duration.
- True Unlimited (esim_TUL...): The bundles are truly unlimited - no throttling or usage caps.**
* The time of the reset from throttled to unthrottled data is determined by when the bundle was first activated.
**While there are no throttling or usage caps, if extreme usage is identified on a True Unlimited eSIM, one of our Customer Success Managers will reach out to discuss your use case and pricing for these bundles.
Usage notifications for Unlimited bundles
Unlimited Day Plans
1%, 50%, 80% and 100% notifications are generated in line with usage of the daily 1GB for Unlimited Lite and Unlimited Essential or 2GB for Unlimited Plus.
When an unlimited bundle reaches its throttling this will generate a 100% notification. This repeats each day of the bundle's duration, in line with the bundle's use of 1GB for Unlimited Lite and Essential or 2GB for Unlimited Plus.
Premium Unlimited
1%, 50%, 80% and 100% notifications are generated in line with usage of the unthrottled data.
There is also a bundle expiry notification when the end date of the bundle is reached.
True Unlimited
A first usage notification when the bundle is activated and a bundle expiry notification when the end date of the bundle is reached are generated for these bundles.

Querying Unlimited bundles
When requesting information for an Unlimited bundle, the 'initialQuantity' and 'remainingQuantity' will show the amount of unthrottled data that the bundle has remaining for that reset period (24 hours for Unlimited Day Plans and the bundle duration for Premium Unlimited).
When the throttled state is active, 'remainingQuantity' will remain at 0 until the 24 hour period elapses in the case of Unlimited Day Plans or until the bundle expires in the case of Premium Unlimited. After that data on the device will be throttled.
On Unlimited Day Plans, this resets back to its full speed 24 hours after activation, and subsequently every 24 hours after that for the duration of the bundle. This is what is reflected when querying the bundle via the API.
